Ten-year-old tennis prodigy Teodor Davidov has set his sights on pro-stardom with an ambidextrous all-forehand style. The young ace could be seen practising with his father on Sunday in Denver.
The aspiring pro tennis player has developed his ability to play with both his left and right arm from the of seven and a half. The young player, originally from Bulgaria, practices up to eight hours a day, with his father and trainer Karlin Davidov.
Teodor explains, “Well I want to go pro, I want to go really deep in tennis, I also want to develop the two forehands in tennis, make it more popular, other kids like me to start doing it.”
The young player’s father explained that he began training his son to play ambidextrously, not only to develop his tennis arsenal and make him a better tennis player, but to develop his child’s spiritual and mental strength.
Karlin said that the process isn’t easy and requires dedication, “but you see this miniscule changes day by day and if you stay consistent with the process in the end of the day, it comes to fruition so you see more complete development.”
The younger Davidov recently went viral on with his performance at a US youth tennis tournament, with observers marvelling at his switch hitting, backhand free style of play.
